Privacy

In short

• No account and no login.
• No telemetry, no usage statistics, no trackers.
• No ads, and nothing is sold or handed to third parties.
• The wallpapers you make and the videos you import never reach our server.

What stays on your Mac

Your library, the wallpapers you made or imported, your videos, settings, schedule and rotation stay on your Mac and never leave it. The signed licence is kept in the Keychain.

When the app talks to the internet

• Browsing the catalog. The app downloads the wallpaper list and previews from our server. When you download a wallpaper, we add one to its download count, with nothing about you.
• Premium. When you download a Premium wallpaper and when the licence is confirmed, which happens at most every 14 days, an identifier of your Mac is sent to check that it has Premium.
• Buying in the app. The plan, the Mac identifier and the email you type are sent, to create the payment, activate this Mac and send your code.
• Checking for updates, if you leave it on. The request for the update feed and nothing else.
• The Now Playing wallpaper, if you use it. It reads the current song from Music or Spotify on your Mac and downloads the album cover from the address the player itself provides. What you listen to never reaches us.
• Cancelling or telling us why, if you choose to fill it in. We receive the text you wrote.

The Mac identifier

A code derived from your Mac hardware. It only ties a Premium licence to one computer, and it is linked to your purchase alone, never to what you do in the app.

The purchase

Payment goes through Stripe (in US dollars), or InfinitePay (in Brazilian reais), and each follows its own privacy policy. We see the email you gave, the amount, the order number, the receipt and the activated Macs, which is what we need to deliver the code and help you. The email with your code is sent through an email delivery service, for that alone.

We never have access to your card.

We keep purchase data while the licence exists and for as long as tax law requires.

This site

Zero tracking or analytics in the app. Only this site uses Google Analytics, with _ga cookies, to understand how it is visited. The purchase email never goes there.

It loads the Inter font from rsms.me, and that request reaches them with your IP, like any request to a server.

When you click to buy Premium here, we send the plan and the email you typed to create the payment link.

Your rights

Under Brazil’s LGPD (and similar laws where you live) you can ask to access, correct or delete the data we hold, which is your purchase data. Write to apps@oprimo.dev and we answer the same business day.
